HOW CAN WE HELP?
Take a look at some of our FAQ's below.
What is GOYOkids?
Put simply, it's yoga, tai chi, pilates and mindfulness exercises for kids.
What's the difference between GOYOkids and other kids yoga?
We write and adapt children's stories and transform them into kids yoga lesson plans, allowing kids (and teachers!) to be full engaged in the benefits of storytelling while learning the art of yoga.
How does it work?We create learning resources in the form of PDF lesson plans or animated videos. Simply choose if you want to lead a class (use our class plans) or let us lead a class for you (use our videos). Choose your story and add it to your cart. Then your a few clicks away from going with GOYO! Check out our library here to discover more.
I'm a primary school teacher. I want to use your resources but I've never taught kids yoga before, where do I start?
A good place to start is with our videos. We have animated characters who act as the narrator of the story and the instructor for the children to follow the movements. It's a great way to keep children engaged in storytelling and movement, while you learn the GOYOkids style. Once you feel comfortable with this, we suggest purchasing a short story class plan, which you can either memorise and teach or put up on your classroom screen to reference while teaching.
What if I don't understand how to perform one of the poses listed on a lesson plan?
We are only an email away! Simply ask us for some advice on how to perform the pose.
The children I am teaching are not copying the poses correctly, what do I do?
Don't fret! We put a high priority on imagination here at GOYOkids HQ, and using the knowledge of our experienced kids yoga teacher all the poses listed in our products are safe and suitable for the ages recommended. But we also know that kids take time to understand how to move their bodies as we tell, and they also sometimes create their own poses. We suggest giving kids the freedom to interpret the pose you are teaching them as they wish. They have many years ahead of them to get the technique correct, for now, keep them engaged by inspiring their minds.
